Robert Kiyosaki, Facebook And Me!!
Everyday when I go on Facebook I have a few friend request, so today I decided to deal with them first. I accepted the first two, then looked at the third one, who had written quite alot by Facebook standards. Wow, it was from Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad amongst other things. Doesn’t it make you realise the power of Social Media! Of all people, Robert Kiyosaki. Incredible. Oh, don’t worry, I am not so naive that I believe he chose me specially, what is amazing to me is that he is there to connect at all!
It would have been hard to imagine being able to chat on the internet with anyone famous a few years ago. On Twitter its easy to speak to famous people too. Unbelievable. So are you using Social Media in your business? And if not why not? It would be easy for someone like Robert, in his 60’s to think it was too late for him to start using social media sites. He actually asked me to join his fan page, and offered me an ebook he has written for $5 instead of $65. Well of course I grabbed it; who wouldnt?
His books are great value, and I will read it as soon as I can!
So what, I hear you say. The things is, why do you think Robert was advertising his product on Facebook? Well, beause its FREE for a start! And he knows that he can get incredible numbers of people to look at his ebook on Facebook. He knows it will go VIRAL. Facebook is now the number two most visited site online, so it has incredible numbers of people from all over the world viewing its pages.
So if you have a business and you are not promoting that business on Facebook, you are missing out on some spectacular, instant free advertising. Everyday more business people are coming onto Facebook to advertise their businesses. Start your own group, give away free information, advice or tips on your area of business. Invite people to join. Like Robert did to me, you can invite people to become friends. And just see the results you get back.
But in doing that, don’t force other people to look. Invite them in a friendly way. That is certainly the way to get people interested. If you constantly bombard people with your business, you will become known as a spammer. If you give value, you will get people’s interest.
Always try to embrace change into your life, as Robert Kiyosaki is doing.
