Benefits Of Article Marketing

My first website went “live” on the net in 1999 and I soon caught the bug into wanting to know the ins and outs of search engine optimisation and the best ways of promoting a website. Over the past couple of years I have been helping other people by offering to share this knowledge and ideas of web promotion. I have to say however that I have been amazed at the short term attitude of most of these people, they are very much people who want the pot of gold today and end up using tactics which are basically a way of cheating their way to the top. These tactics do not work over the longer term and these people are what I call web promotion criminals.

An example I give to people is that if you were saving money to put a deposit down on a house you would do so by saving on a regular basis, well this is what I did anyway. Most people would not contemplate obtaining this money by stealing it from a bank.

Part of the advice I give to people is about the many benefits of article marketing. I personally provide a manual article submission service and I have had over one thousand articles published on ezinearticles - mainly on the subject of stuttering. and about how it has helped my own sites increase in page rank in the past. The internet is always in need of good fresh new unique content and quality articles are likely to be used by webmasters for many years to come. To start with all is good until they discover PLR! Then all of that hard work in preparation can go out of the window as they decide to take the easy option. This as most of us are aware is frowned upon and is basically just an example of my contacts being very lazy. At times I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall!

If it is not private label articles it is hidden pages or cloaking. The sheer excitement in their voices - people would think that they have just struck gold. At the end of the day promoting a website is the same as everything in life - hard work pays off. But do they listen? Of course they don’t.

The Patience Required To Promote A Website

I have been asked many times the following question, what is the single most important factor in web promotion? The simple and truthful answer is patience. I ensure that people who ask me for my advice re web promotion fully comprehend that patience is vitally important.

People say that article marketing is a great way to promote a website, which it most certainly is. Some people then think that if they write four articles with a link to their site included at the bottom of the article, that they will suddenly see a flood of traffic via improved search engine positions in for example google. When this does not happen they can easily lose this most important quality, patience.

Just ask Christopher Knight, the webmaster of EzineArticles about the percentage of authors who have written under ten articles. These authors must know therefore about the benefits of article marketing but do not have the patience to see it through.

Article marketing does work but it takes time for the results to come through. You should be aiming to write on average one article per day or perhaps be using a manual article submission service, just wait and see how this will benefit your site after say two years.

If you have a new website about lets say psychic readings you can not in reality expect to be placed ahead of older more established sites who have been working on link building for the last few years. By working hard to write quality content and to attract additional backward links then in time your site could well become the “top dog” of your niche and to gain that all important No1 ranking.

I am fully aware of just how beneficial article marketing can be after having had over one thousand articles published on ezinearticles.

Website Promotion and Design Tips

Have you decided that the time has come to take the plunge to invest in a website but are unsure about how to go about the building and promoting of the site?

Many people believe that it will cost them thousands to have a website designed and this fact alone puts many people off. Due to the large number of people who now offer website design services, this should not be the case.

This enables you to obtain a first page entry on the search engine for a particular phrase or keyword.

Another idea is to write articles like the one you are reading. Other webmasters and ezines are able to use your article on their websites and newsletters thus giving you an additional backward link. The number of backward links a website has will affect its page rank, the higher the number of backward links, the higher the page rank. Generally the higher the page rank, the more visitors your website is likely to get.

I have been writing and submitting articles for the last five years now and I aim to write an average of one article per day. So why do I do this? Well to put it quite simply - it is because it works.
